01 / CURRENT OPERATIONS

SCOPE MAY EVOLVE. STANDARDS WILL NOT.

Serious about your IT.
Flexible about the future.

Right now, our work is managed IT: helping businesses keep their technology working and their people moving. We built the company around solving problems, with room to follow the interesting ones wherever they lead.

[01]

Managed IT services

A practical approach to the technology your business depends on. Tell us what you have, what gets in the way, and what needs to work better.

CURRENT FOCUS
[02]

People before machinery

Technology has a job to do. That job is helping people do theirs. We start with the work, then talk about the systems that support it.

OPERATING PRINCIPLE
[03]

Room for the unexpected

Have a problem that doesn't fit neatly in a service category? Start the conversation. “Indeterminate” is there for a reason.

OPEN CHANNEL

No unnecessary mystery around your technology. We reserve that for the company handbook.

02 / GETTING STARTED

NO SUMMONING PHRASE REQUIRED.

What happens next.

A conversation first. A sensible next step after that.

  1. 01

    Tell us what's happening.

Send a little context: what your business does, what's getting in the way, and what you'd like to work better. Plain English is welcome.

    JARGON IS OPTIONAL.
  2. 02

    Let's understand the problem.

We start with your needs and current setup, then discuss whether our managed IT services are a good fit.

THE MACHINES CAN WAIT THEIR TURN.
  3. 03

    Agree on the next step.

Scope, expectations, and costs belong in the conversation before work begins. The right next step depends on what you actually need.

    AMBIGUITY STAYS IN THE BRANDING.

We keep systems running, people connected, and the mainframe sufficiently appreciated. Through ingenuity, persistence, and strict compliance with whatever HR has become, we turn uncertainty into progress.

VISION.TXT

A brightly
undefined future.

A future where technology serves humanity, humanity submits its tickets correctly, and the servers remain operational for reasons we are increasingly reluctant to investigate.

Limitless possibility. Measurable progress. Doors that remain exactly where Facilities put them.

Nearly 30 years in IT.
Still a little amazed it works.

Mike Ward

EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH / COMMITTEE-APPROVED

I started my IT career on the help desk in 1997. In December 1999, I joined a large ministry outside St. Louis. Somewhere along the way, I discovered my key opened the server room—and that discovery shaped most of my career.

About nine years ago, they kicked me out of the server room and moved me into the big office to direct the IT department. The responsibilities grew, but the fascination never went away.

I love working with technology. Making computers talk to each other has always felt a little magical—and after nearly three decades, it still does.

THE COMMITTEE HAS PERMITTED FOLLOW-UP QUESTIONS.

What does Indeterminate Enterprises do?

Our current focus is managed IT services: helping businesses keep their technology working and their people moving. The company is built around practical problem-solving, with room to evolve as new opportunities arise.

Would we be a good fit?

If you're looking for help managing your business technology, let's talk. Tell us about your organization, current setup, and the problems you want to solve. We'll discuss whether our services fit your needs.

Can I ask about a one-time project?

Yes—bring us the question. Managed IT is our current focus, and we can discuss whether a particular project fits. Sending an inquiry doesn't assume a commitment on either side.

What should I include in my first email?

A short description of your business, what's happening, and what outcome you're looking for is enough to begin. If there's a deadline, mention it. You don't need a technical diagnosis—and please leave passwords and other credentials out of the email.

How much does it cost?

Costs depend on the work and the support you need. Start with a description of your situation so we can discuss scope and pricing before you decide how to proceed.

Is Relay an actual support channel?

Relay's terminal is a bit of interactive company lore with scripted responses. It doesn't create tickets or monitor systems. To reach a human, email contact@indeterminateenterprises.llc.

Is the handbook serious?

The declassified handbook is fictional company lore. The commitment to practical technology and clear communication is real. The structural integrity of the ceiling fork remains a Facilities matter.
